CPL Requirements
To obtain a commercial pilot certificate under CFR Part 61, you'll need at least 250 flight hours, including 100 hours of pilot-in-command time and 50 hours of cross-country flying. Also, you'll need to get at least 10 hours of instrument training and 10 hours in a complex aircraft.
Commercial Pilot License
The commercial pilot license (CPL) is the final step in an aviators career. Once you've obtained your PPL and your IFR rating you'll want to continue on to earn a commercial pilot license. It will enable you to fly for hire and you'll be eligible to apply for the commercial airlines (once you have met their minimum requirement for flight hours). In the United States the airlines require commercial applicants to have at least 1500 hours. We offer our commercial student pilots
the option of earning their certified flight instructor rating so we can hire them and help them obtain those hours while working as an instructor.
Requirements: In order to be eligible to train for your CPL you'll need a couple things first. You must be at least 18 years old, hold at least an FAA second class medical, passed the FAA written exam with at least a score of 70 and have completed the minimum training requirements .
